Par contre il vous faudra être très, très patient : si les lettres Z et X sont très courtes, avec quasi exclusivement des auteurs grecs, le reste va singulièrement s'allonger... De plus, je ne progresse pas en temps normal par ordre alphabétique, mais au gré de mes besoins et de mes découvertes (par exemple je ne cherche pas un auteur dans les Présocratiques de Diels, mais les répartit tous. Tout l'alphabet est donc entamés (quelques dizaines de pages en général, parfois plus), mais tous sont dramatiquement fragmentaires. Je posterai donc de temps à autre, une fois tous les deux ou trois mois, selon ma progression. Si vous trouvez des erreurs (par exemple des textes qui ne sont plus attribués à tel ou tel, en particulier en patristique où Migne attribue n'importe quoi à n'importe qui et où je n'y connais vraiment rien...) ou des éditions intéressantes non recensées (soit meilleures, soit plus récentes), pour les lettres X et Z déjà achevées, contactez-moi par MP, je corrigerai à la prochaine mise à jour. Je craignais être trop détaillé pour les amateurs, et trop superficiel (et complètement daté!) pour les pros, mais finalement, je constate qu'il y a une clientèle. Pour certains auteurs il est tellement délicat de trouver une traduction... ne serais-ce que le texte des fois... votre travail est donc très précieux! Je reste à l'affut et j'en ai déjà vu quelques uns qui m'intéressent... De toute façon une traduction, même mauvaise est toujours utile parce qu'elle permet de lire rapidement avant de détailler précisément le texte en langue originale. Bon courage dans l'entreprise. |

Je tiens à te préciser encore une fois, suite à plusieurs de tes messages postés d'affilée, que l'absence de réponses ne suppose en rien un quelconque désintérêt pour ton entreprise. Il ne m'est pas encore arrivé d'avoir à consulter tes listes, mais cela viendra certainement à mesure que de nouvelles lettres s'y ajouteront (et que j'aurai à nouveau le loisir de mettre mon nez dans les affaires des Grecs et Romains !). Ce message est peut-être inutile, mais tu as déjà évoqué à plusieurs reprises sur ce forum que tu ressentais parfois l'impression pénible de monologuer ; j'espère ainsi prévenir un éventuel découragement ! Bon courage pour la suite. Par ailleurs, y a-t-il une raison particulière pour laquelle tu renvoies presque exclusivement à des liens Archive.org ou Google Books ? D'autres bases de données citées en première page de ce fil sont également très complètes. |

Merci Vestitudo, mais je n'ai pas de complexe cette fois-ci pour l'absence de réponse, surtout que Pedro et Zunkir m'ont déjà bien encouragé ! Si je mets plusieurs messages, c'est simplement en fonction de mon avancement, et lorsque je rajoute une lettre je présente en même temps mes correctifs que je sépare du reste pour une question de lisibilité (l'intervalle de temps entre les messages corresponds simplement au temps pris par la mise en page). Pour ce qui concerne l'utilisation des liens Archive.org et google, plutôt par exemple Remacle ou Lacus Curtius : je me suis effectivement posé la question au début. Mais mon objectif est de présenter les meilleurs éditions disponibles (ma liste personnelle recense les différentes éditions, ce qui est présenté ici est une sélection), c'est à dire des éditions critiques du texte, puis des traductions, bref, présenter les livres entiers, avec leur apparat critique. Dans de nombreux cas, les éditions de traductions ont déjà été numérisés sur ces sites, mais d'une part ces numérisations sont souvent partielles (allégées des notes, allégées du texte original, des différentes lectures du texte originale, des intro, etc. qui me semblent pourtant très intéressantes et que le lecteur doit pouvoir consulter s'il le souhaite), et d'autre part, tout simplement, il s'agit d'un travail de seconde main, ce qui multiplie le risque d'erreurs. Par conséquent, j'ai décidé de privilégier les éditions intégrales, le livre d'origine. Archive.org est mon premier outil car les numérisations canadiennes sont de bonne qualité, et parce que cette bibliothèque numérique est la plus complète pour mon sujet. Je complète avec google, quand nécessaire (en particulier les Migne), et enfin avec tout le reste, assez varié, quand ces deux sites généralistes me font défaut. Mais à chaque fois, l'utilisateur se trouvera autant que faire ce peux avec la version originale du bouquin, pas devant une numérisation de seconde main (du moins, quand j'en trouve ; certains ouvrages libres de droit n'ont toujours pas été numérisés; mais globalement, je n'ai pas à me plaindre, je trouve 80-90% des ouvrages que je cherche). Du coup, forcément, Remacle, Hodoi, Lacus Curtius, Attalus, Perseus et compagnies apparaitront très rarement, car non originaux, bien que personnellement je les consulte très souvent. Je m'attèle aux -Q-, cela ira vite. J'avais bien commencé les -B-, mais Basilios de Césarée m'a épuisé et dégoûté... Il va sans dire que je ne suis pas pressé de mon frotter à des auteurs comme A-ugustin, H-ippocrate, G-alien ou T-ullius Cicero... |

C'est très bien ainsi. Les traductions sont souvent anciennes et ont connu des réajustement mais sur le net il n'est pas possible de trouver plus actuel. En tout cas l'avantage d'un hodoi est que l'on peut réaliser des recherche dans une base de donnée en prenant par exemple un mot en particulier ce qui fait gagner un temps fou et dispense de l'achat d'un lexicon pour chaque auteur ce qui coute les yeux de la tête (j'avais regardé pour celui d'Ammien Marcellin et je crois qu'il valait 150 euros...) |

Aaah les hypertextes d'Hodoi. Sans conteste, le top de ce qui se fait en ligne actuellement... Les Américains de Perseus ont un système analogue, mais je n'ai jamais réussi à l'utiliser correctement, il plante souvent et se charge très lentement... D'ailleurs je ne suis plus sûr de savoir encore l'utiliser ! Hodoi a aussi quelques traditions récentes excellentes (Ovide, Virgile ou Tite-Live par exemple), tandis que Remacle propose des traductions personnelles de quelque auteurs peu accessibles (Appien notamment). Ils apparaitront donc dans ma liste à ce moment ! Ceci dit, dans les échanges du forum, je renvoie la plupart du temps aux numérisations de Remacle ou d'Hodoi, et non à l'ouvrage numérisé, pour un confort de lecture supérieur et destiné à des intervenants qui ne sont pas forcément à la recherche de la VO. N'hésitez pas à me faire part de vos remarques, questions, suggestions, compléments et corrections, tant sur le fond que sur la forme. |
